Our cotton is grown by a farmers co-operative in India that is committed to improving the livelihoods of its members and their communities. We work with our suppliers to ensure that our communities see real environmental and economic improvements
As well as being better for the environment and health of cotton growing communities, organic cotton also brings economic benefits to farmers. In the cotton industry, eco-friendly and organic go hand in hand with good economics . Organic farmers reap tangible benefits as costs are dramatically reduced , compared to conventional cotton farming.. Better soil quality means that fewer inputs are needed, lowering total costs for farmers by as much as 60 to 70%. In organic cotton farming communities in India the costs farmers used to invest in 10 acres of land now cover more than 20 acres.
